Performance Improvement
Performance Improvement Activities are CME activities
in which a physician engages in a three-stage practice
improvement process. Up to 20 credits may be awarded.
| Stage A: |
Identifying an educational need through a measure of his/her performance in practice |
| Stage B: |
Engaging in educational experiences to meet the need |
| Stage C: |
Integrating learning from Stage B into patient care and then re-evaluates his/her performance |
The Office of Continuing Professional Development can assist
performance improvement in varying levels of participation
ranging from individual physician plans to integrating with
quality improvement activities.
